So Palmer, who had by far the best record of any coach who coached at Ervinton including Curt Newsome, and has taken some sorry teams and done well at St. Paul, and is currently the most experienced head coach in Wise County, is not as good a choice as Turner, who has taken ZERO teams and done NOTHING as a head coach. Hmmm . . . .

I didn't say he had the most exp and how many coaches had winning records at Ervinton? Some people can get the kids to play, some can't. You are welcome to your opinion. I still think they will hire him. If he doesn't get the job, I'll still probably catch a few games.

You said Turner would be the best choice, then you stated that Palmer had "several teams that didn't live up to expectations." I brought up Ervinton because that is where he coached first and the longest. I brought up wins because thats what your judged by as a head coach. I don't think Turner is the better choice simply because he lacks experience. Why do you think Turner is the better choice? What teams that Mark coached didn't live up?

I really don't have his history memorized- Appy did play them a time or two at ST Paul. You are more than welcome to think what you like.

Right, everyone has an opinion as to who they think would be the man for the job. I personally say Turner, this is not based on his experience or wins, it is based on that he has great potential and kids respond to him. Now, Palmer is a great guy and is a good coach , so if he got it I am sure things would go well. i would say there is an 85% chance Turner gets it.

When have you seen how the kids react to Turner?
